In a recent announcement, Tempus Incorporation’s management revealed that its team of scientists had developed Tempus Labs, a mobile medical application. The app will allow medical specialists to access the Tempus platform from anywhere any time.
Speaking after the pronouncement, Tempus’ chief operating officer alleged that the medical app was designed based on the ideas collected from doctors. “Some doctors had complained that their hectic rosters could not allow them to access Tempus platform using a computer,” the COO said.
What pieces of information can doctors obtain from Tempus Lab? According to Tempus management, doctors can use the app to access a patient’s clinical data. Besides, the app will suggest possible therapeutic options and medical trials required to manage the patient’s case. Tempus COO claims that the medical information will help doctors serve their patients better.
Health specialists can download Tempus Labs from APP store, or Google Play. As an alternative, they can get the app by purchasing any one of Tempus’ validated assays. Apart from the mobile app, Tempus’ management team disclosed that they would use part of the money rose from their August 2018’s fundraiser to boost their operations. Into the bargain, the company was planning to diversify their services to new medical areas.
Tempus is one of the largest libraries of clinical data used by doctors and researchers to make evidence-based medical decisions, as well as drug discovery. In addition to the library, the firm cooperates with a team of experts that specialize in genomic tests, clinical data structuring, as well as image recognition algorithms. Eric Lefkofsky co-founded the company in 2015.
